ISTANBUL AIRPORT

The first phase of the Istanbul Airport, which is the largest infrastructure project in the history of the Turkish Republic, opened for service on October 29, 2018; since April 6th 2019, the airport is operational with all units at full capacity. The construction will be completed in four phases. Once complete, the airport will host flights to more than 300 destinations with an annual capacity of 200 million passengers.

Covering an area of 76.5 million square meters, the new Airport serves as a global hub between Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The airport is located on the European shore of Istanbul at a distance of 35 km to the city center. Public transportation (IETT) departs from Istanbul Airport to city center.

Istanbul Airport and its amenities include;

• 55,000 sqm Duty Free area including elite boutique shops of 18,000 sqm, classical Duty Free stores of 34,000 sqm.
• Bazaar area of approximately 3,000 sqm, where local products are offered.
• Several types of cafes and restaurants representing numerous concepts and meals from Turkish and world cuisine.
• Car parks with a total capacity of 40,000 vehicles, plus valet and car maintenance services above the international airport standards.
