EVALUATION

Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). They will be evaluated on a rolling basis. The scientific committee will peer review all complete abstracts based on scientific research ethics, quality of work, and originality. Acceptance of the abstracts will be made according to:
The IFOS Congress themes: Innovation, AI, Global Diversity, Education
Quality of methodology
Originality
Worldwide interest
Only complete submissions will be reviewed. Ensure you click the submit button after uploading your abstract. To maintain the integrity of the review process, revisions to abstracts will not be accepted after the submission deadline.

The study should be unpublished and submitted once, not as multiple abstracts or to multiple program types (e.g., Scientific Oral Presentations and Scientific Posters). If your proposal is not accepted as an Oral Presentation, it will be reviewed and may be considered a Poster Presentation unless stated otherwise. Small case series or case presentations will not be accepted as oral presentations.

The secretariat will contact you once your abstract is accepted for further information and instruction.

If you have problems submitting your abstract online, please get in touch with the Secretariat for assistance.

Upon acceptance, the presenting author must register before the deadline (31 May 2025); otherwise, the presentation will be removed from the program.

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Abstracts should have a minimum of 250 and a maximum of 350 words; abstract titles should not exceed 20 words. Study Type must be selected during submission (Basic/lab science, Clinical/Translational Science, Small Case Series/Case report, Systematic Review/Meta-analysis, Database study).

The structure of the abstract is:
Introduction (Background & Aim): Hypothesis
Material & Methods (or Case study): Study design, Subjects, Setting, Intervention(s), Outcome measurement(s), Independent variables, Analyses
Results: Main outcome(s) of the study, including confidence levels or p values
Conclusions: Supported by the results, both positive and negative.

Abbreviations should be spelled out in parenthesis in their first use in the abstract. No graphs, pictures, tables, or videos can be uploaded during the abstract submission. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to redact any submission. The same presenting author is allowed to be allocated to up to 2 abstracts.

NOTABLE SCIENTIFIC ORAL ABSTRACTS

Based on merit, oral submissions will be selected and recognized as "Best of" within each specialty area by the sub-specialty committees. These presentations will be featured in the main program sessions, and a special certificate will be awarded. If you wish for your abstract to be considered for the "Best of" competition, please indicate this during submission.
